' FOO FIGHTERS started making a record and I started helping QOTSA find another drummer but then I thought I should probably do one show with them, I mean I haven't played drums in like eight years I should do one show with QUEENS before they get another drummer. I went in to make the record with them last summer and originally I was only going to do three songs with them and I wound up doing the whole album with them and that was it.
'The foundation of the band has always been Josh and Nick and I've been their fourth or fifth drummer. ' QOTSA has always been a revolving cast of musicians and musicians come and they go, musicians contribute and musicians split,' explained Grohl. FOO FIGHTERS mainman Dave Grohl recently spoke to Britain's Rock Sound magazine about his recent stint as the recording and touring drummer for QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE-a tenure that has since ended in order to enable Grohl to focus all his attention on the forthcoming FOO CD.
